CETP funded project HVDC4ISLANDS had its kick-off event on December 5th 2024. It addresses both technical and administrative parts. The objective of the meeting was to provide an introduction to the project and its goal as well as to establish the necessary groundwork for the planned activities.
The meeting started with a quick partner introductions where each participating organization had the opportunity to present themselves, showcasing their expertise, resources, and intended contributions to the project. Then, the project structure was explained along with the main activities and implementation plan. The team reviewed the key milestones, identifying the most relevant activities to be performed. Recognizing the importance of engaging relevant individuals, organizations, and communities, strategies, the stakeholder involvement was discussed. The proposed collaborative approach ensures the project outcomes are aligned with the needs and expectations of the real life scenarios. The event also introduced the Project Management issues and how to address them. The organization and participation in the next in-person meeting was discussed and the provision dates suggested.
